George Gurney has been involved in the executive search and recruitment industry since 1976. He is the founder and senior partner of an executive search firm that conducts domestic and international search assignments. His clients are among the leading Fortune 500 type companies. The company’s mission statement and reputation are based on expertise and reliability. He has won numerous awards for recruiting excellence and has been a guest speaker at various national conventions and seminars.
During his career in executive search, George has been awarded eleven performance trophies. He has received certificates of appreciation from the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, the American Marketing Association, and the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s for his seminar training.
Prior to founding his executive search firm, he was a recruiter and manager for the largest employment search corporation in the nation. He was awarded Account Executive of the Year in 1977 for his placement excellence. He also had the added distinction of receiving the fastest promotion to manager and trainer. George has trained over ninety executive recruiters.
Prior to executive search, George was a Regional Manager with the Simmons Institute, Inc., a sales and motivational training company. He was a seminar leader and trainer for several years, before becoming a member of the prestigious President’s Club.
After earning his college degree, he joined the Hearst Corporation sales department. During his years at Hearst, George won several awards and vacation trips for increasing the sales volume. He was the youngest employee to be promoted to a sales manager in the company’s history. He left the Hearst Corporation, after a successful career, to accept a position with The Simmons Institute.
